How To Get Here

By Air

Firstly we would suggest that car hire is essential to get the most from your stay.

The nearest airport is Bergerac Airport just 30 minutes away.

There are daily flights but it does depend on which month you travel.

Ryanair to fly to Bergerac from London Stansted, East Midlands, Liverpool, and Bristol.

Flybe fly here from Southampton, Exeter and Birmingham

Bordeaux Airport is readily accessible being situated adjacent to the motorway which by following signs for Toulouse brings you down to La Reole which is just 25 minutes from here. The total journey time is 1hr 10 minutes.

Easyjet fly to Bordeaux from Luton and Bristol.

Alternative routes are available via Limoges, Angouleme or Toulouse but they are all 2hrs 30mins from here.

By Car

For years many people have travelled to the southern ports of Cherbourg, Caen and Le Havre to reduce the journey by road in France and these routes are still popular and suit many. The map link to Google Map on "Where We Are" page can assist with route planning.

However, the opening of the new A28 motorway through from Rouen has shortened journey times from northen ports dramatically nd Bordeaux can be reached in just 7-8 hours. This route from Calais (P&O, SeaFrance, EuroTunnel) and Boulogne (SeaFerries) takes you down to Bordeaux via Rouen, Allencon, Le Mans, Tours, Poitiers and Angouleme. For a scenic end to the journey a shorter route can be found from Angouleme that cuts across down to Ste Foy La Grande.
