Villeneuve de Duras

The village is small and sits on the road D708 between Ste Foy La Grande and Duras itself. We have essential amenities such as boulangerie, convenience store, post office and bar restaurant.

Duras is 5 minutes South on this road and has a medium size supermarket selling everything you are likely to need on holiday. The town has other shops including butchers, boulangeries, pharmacies etc... and market day is every Monday. There are markets at neighbouring villages almost every day in easy reach.

If you go 25 minutes Further South you reach the busier town of Marmande which has al the major shops should you want them.

10 minutes to the North is Ste Foy La Grande which is a little bigger than Duras but retains an element of charm Here there are selection of larger supermarkets including Leclerc.

We are 30 minutes from Bergerac which is an interesting mix of old and new and fine views along the Dordogne River.

Going West we are an hour from the splendid city of Bordeaux and this is worth a visit as it is a beautiful city with many fine restaurants to choose from, wonderful buildings and great shopping.

For those who want to stay local our neighbouring villages are very nice and many in walking distance. With free access to roam through vineyards we are set in a walkers paradise.
